Sunday Morning Setup

Description: A person in this position would setup chairs, walls, tables as well as our children's areas.
Requirements: Able to lift heavy objects and get sweaty.
Time Commitment: 8:30AM-9:15AM on Sundays

Sunday Morning Tear Down

Description: A person in this position would tear down chairs, walls, tables as well as our children's areas after service.
Requirements: Able to lift heavy objects and get sweaty.
Time Commitment: 11:15AM-12:00PM on Sundays

Sunday Morning Greeter

Description: Volunteers welcome people coming into the church. They stand at the entrance to the building; acknowledge and greet everyone they meet. Provide bulletins. Smile. Personally escort people where they want to go.
Requirements: A willingness to help out and an extroverted personality.
Time Commitment: Arrive at 9:30AM on Sundays. Greeters will be scheduled in advance when possible, but opportunities to volunteer may come with as little as one day's notice.

Coffee Cart Attendant

Description: New Song Church provides coffee and treats for all of their congregation and guests. This person would come setup the coffee and treats, man the table and answer questions during service and then tear down the coffee cart when service is over.
Requirements: Friendly, out-going attitude. Willingness to serve and answer questions.
Time Commitment: 9:00AM-12:00PM on Sundays

Worship - Praise Team

Description: If you are skilled at playing an instrument or singing and love to use this gift to worship the Lord, the Praise Team is for you.
Requirements: Must audition for the Worship Leader in skilled area. Must be willing to rehearse on your own time and be prepared for rehearsals.
Time Commitment: Attend rehearsals with the Worship Team on Thursdays 7-9PM. Sundays start at 8:30AM and completes around 12PM.

Worship - Media Team Technician

Description: Volunteers work closely with the worship leader, speaking pastor, and service coordinator. They set up the media station and test the Media Laptop, and DVD player (when used). Be attentive through the entire service, queuing and changing slides for songs, announcements, and sermon notes, and playing video/audio clips when required. Tear down the media station, put away the laptop, and give it to the Team Leader.
Requirements: Know the worship team vision; helps execute vision. Complete formal training and "on-the-job" training before running the equipment. Being fluent in English is helpful.
Time Commitment: Technicians commit to working 1-2 Sundays per month, with a flexible schedule to work around teammates' activities and travel. Attend rehearsals with the Worship Team on Thursdays 7-9PM. Sundays start at 8:45AM and completes around 12PM.

Worship - Sound Team Technician

Description: The Sound Technician retains overall responsibility to: Help set up sound system, connect and test the equipment, and complete the setup checklist. Configure the equipment during pre-service sound check. Communicate with worship band on sound levels. Be attentive and adjust sound levels through the whole service (sit at sound board). Record Sermon to CD and place in the clear plastic "Usher Supplies" box after service. 6) Help put away sound system
Requirements: Having some technical background is helpful, but you will be required to train with another technician prior to being on the schedule alone. You must be willing to work with the Worship Leader and be flexible to change setup at a moments notice.
Time Commitment: Attend rehearsals with the Worship Team on Thursdays 7-9PM. Sundays start at 8:30AM and completes around 12PM.

High School Ministry Volunteer

Description: You would work directly with the Youth Pastor to serve the High School students in a variety of ways as needed.
Requirements: Must be flexible and willing to assist in different ways as needed.
Time Commitment: Sundays 5:30PM-8:00PM or as needed for special events.

Middle School Ministry Volunteer

Description: You would work directly with the Youth Pastor to serve the Middle School and High School students in a variety of ways as needed.
Requirements: Must be flexible and willing to assist in different ways as needed.
Time Commitment: Sunday Morning 9:30AM-11:30AM or as needed for special events.

Children's Ministry - Teachers

Description: New Song Children's Ministry is broken into three groups, Nursery (Age newborn to 3), Pre-Kindergarten (Age 3 through Kindergarten) and Elementary (Grades 1-5). The curriculum in the Pre-Kindergarten and Elementary grades are video & activity based on specific Scriptures or character qualities. Volunteers will receive curriculum one week prior to serving.
Requirements: Must be willing to read through the curriculum prior to serving. Attend New Song for at least 3 months. Fingerprint and background check required before working with any student.
Time Commitment: All volunteers are expected to make a commitment through the entire school year, August through May.

Children's Ministry - Assistants

Description: New Song Children's Ministry is broken into three groups, Nursery (Age newborn to 3), Pre-Kindergarten (Age 3 through Kindergarten) and Elementary (Grades 1-5). The curriculum in the Pre-Kindergarten and Elementary grades are video & activity based on specific Scriptures or character qualities. Volunteers will help the teachers during a Sunday morning class.
Requirements: Attend New Song for at least 3 months. Fingerprint and background check required before working with any student.
Time Commitment: All volunteers are expected to make a commitment through the entire school year, August through May.
